Safeguarding Awareness Session – Volunteer Training
On 13th May 2026, 13 of our volunteers took part in a safeguarding awareness session, strengthening their understanding of why safeguarding is essential in every part of the work we do at Glossopdale Foodbank.
The session helped build confidence in recognising concerns, knowing how to respond, and understanding the shared responsibility we all have to keep people safe.
As part of our ongoing commitment to good practice, we’ll soon be rolling out refresher safeguarding training for all volunteers. This will be offered in a range of formats, as we know that everyone learns differently and we want to make the training accessible, supportive, and practical for all
