What does Glossopdale Foodbank do?

Glossopdale Foodbank is a local charity that provides emergency food for individuals and families in financial crisis. During 2020 we provided 42,750 meals to over 2,890 adults people - including 1,860 children.

Our ‘Foodbank Plus’ service helps people improve incomes and get out of debt - so they do not need the Foodbank. We refer individuals and families to other relevant services that offer support but only with consent from the individuals concerned.

The Glossopdale Community generously donates food through donation points at most of the local supermarkets. Over 60 Foodbank volunteers keep the service going working week-in, week-out, all year round.
