Our website
Communications between our website and your browser are encrypted and delivered securely over HTTPS. All enquiries you make from our website contact form are sent directly to an email address. We use Google as a third party data processor to process this personal data on our behalf. Google is based in the USA and is EU-U.S Privacy Shield compliant. Here is the Google Privacy policy.

Information we collect: Name, phone number, age, location of recipients, reason for food parcel request and name of referring agency.

When you provide it to us yourself when collecting a food parcel.
How we use this information:
Personal data is collected and stored by Glossopdale Foodbank (the Data Controller) in order to arrange a suitable food parcel.
Personal Data is used to maintain statistics to understand the reasons why Glossopdale Foodbank services are needed which in turn will help improve them. Glossopdale Foodbank will never include personally identifying information in statistics.
Glossopdale Foodbank will not share or sell your personal information to third parties but we may disclose generic details regarding statistics to prospective partners or reputable third parties but only for lawful purposes.
Glossopdale Foodbank will only share personal details to other organisations with the explicit consent of the person (Data Subject).
How we secure your information.
Referrals to the Glossopdale Foodbank are as paper files and on electronic files. Only The Foodbank Co-ordinator and designated Foodbank volunteers will have access to these records. All paper copies will be kept securely in a locked cabinet. All paper copies will be shredded after 3 months. Any documents with personal and sensitive information will be stored on an encrypted USB stick and deleted as soon as is the information is no longer needed.
Any documents with identifying information that are sent electronically will be sent with encryption. The electronic document will then be deleted.
Who we share your personal information with
Personal information is shared with Citizens Advice only with the explicit consent of the person. Glossopdale Foodbank may contact anyone who has had more than 3 self- referrals to the foodbank in 3 months. This person’s name may be shared with the organisation that distributes the food parcels so that further “Referral Needed” letters from the Foodbank can be issued to the person. The legal basis for sharing this data is Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulations May 2018.
Making donations on Glossopdale Foodbank using standing order forms
Information we collect: Name, address, bank details.

When you provide it to us yourself when authorising a donation.
How we use this information:
Glossopdale Foodbank uses this information to contact the donor and to set up standing orders with the donors consent.
Who we share this information with:
Glossopdale Foodbank will not share any personal information about the donor without the consent of the donor.
How we secure donors’ information
Donors’ information is kept as paper files and electronic files . Only The Foodbank Co-ordinator and designated Foodbank volunteers will have access to these records. Any document kept electronically will be saved in an encrypted document and deleted as soon as it is no longer needed. Making donations through our website
We don’t process any financial transactions directly through our website. Instead we use PayPal and Localgiving as third-party processors to collect financial donations.
